Hole 4 – Leven
420 yards
The “Leven” concept traces back to the 16th at Lundin Links in Scotland. Here, Raynor gives you the option of an heroic tee shot down the left over a large diagonal bunker, which opens up a clear approach into the green. The safer tee ball out to the right leaves you with a semi-blind second over high front-right mounding and a large bunker called the Crow’s Foot bunker.
Kyle Franz restored the diagonal carry bunker in 2016 and the Crow’s Foot bunker in 2021, reviving the original risk-reward off the tee and into the green.
In 2026, we have sharpened the false front on the left front of the green and strengthened the interior green contours, including the ridge running from the back of the green and the ridge that ties into the peak of the Crow’s Foot bunker. Players will feel those contours more distinctly on approach shots and putts, making position off the tee even more important. Finally, a back right green extension will further reward the player who challenges the heroic carry off the tee.
